DEVOTION FOR TODAY

The power of prayer can't be explained. John Wesley said, "God does nothing except in response to believing prayer." No matter what your present challenge or circumstance is, prayer can make a huge difference. Because God is interested in your life and concerns, He has given you a blank check which you can cash through the prayer of faith.
In Jere. 33:2-3, we see this blank check. To make sure you don't doubt the authenticity of this check, God gives you His background. He said, 1. I AM the LORD. He is the Master of the universe. All other masters including your boss or whoever is holding in their custody that which you need, are subject to Him. He can command them to do things for you just to show you He is in charge. 2. I AM the Maker. Even if what you need doesn't exist, He can make it. 3. I FORM it. He can frame and fashion anything. He can use 5 bread to feed 5,000. He can use what you have to create what you dream. 4. I ESTABLISH it. He can keep it for as long as you need. You don't have to be afraid of losing it when He gives it to you. It stays. 5. His name is at stake. You can take a risk on God and He can't fail. He would rather die than disappoint you. He has died before, He can't die any more. That is your guarantee He can't fail you. Based on these facts, can you pray rest assured that He will: 1. Answer you right now. Not tomorrow. 2. Show you great and mighty things. Real things that will change the minds of those who are plotting to hurt or harm you. Don't delay, pray right now because everything around you is about to change as you pray.
