DEVOTION FOR TODAY

Have you considered why the word BELIEVE is key to life, love and light? That is probably the first word man learnt at creation in Gen. 2:7. God spoke to a mass of mud He had formed to house the man. Every word God spoke into that man, he believed it and man became a living being - a being with God's life. The word, believe, is a combination of two words, BEing aLIve. That is why every thing you believe comes alive to you. Every time you believe, you come alive. If you don't believe, you literally disconnect yourself from the life of what you don't believe. 2 Chron. 20:20 puts it this way, Believe in God and you are established. Believe His prophets and you prosper. From Genesis to Revelation, the password is believe. If you believe any part or portion, it comes alive to you. In John 7:38, Jesus caps it. He who believes, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living waters. If there is a battle going on in your life, it is the battle of who and what you believe. If you take a decision to believe God, His word and His prophets sent to you, the rivers will flow. Every form of drought or dryness or disease or death can be traced to a decision to not believe God when He sent His word to us through any means. Spite the means. Focus on the Sender. Your flow is tied to your faith in God and His specific word to you. Believe His word. Believe His prophets. Like the mass of mud became a life giving being so you too shall become what God has spoken to you. Can you plant a precious seed to show you believe God and His prophet?
