DEVOTION FOR TODAY

God is so good. However, not many people know that He is so good. Psalm 34:8 shows us why most people don't know how good God is.
You can only know how good God is if you do these three things: 1. Taste Him. We were designed to appreciate things and people by tasting them. You can never know how grapes feel until you taste it. I used to wonder why when people go to the Presidential Villa called Aso Rock In Abuja, they don't want to leave until I visited onetime some years ago. It was different and I liked it. I tasted the air and I knew why people would do anything just to be there. You can criticize and condemn anything or anyone including God until you taste them. No wonder, people who set out to prove God doesn't exist changed their minds after tasting Him. Before you criticize and condemn anything or anyone, try to taste them. 2. See Him. Is it true that no one can see God? Some of us have seen Him and have never been the same. I remember my first encounter with Him over thirty seven years ago. That one encounter totally transformed my life. You can't see God and remain the same. 3. Trust Him. The whole essence of tasting and seeing God is to bring us to the place of trust. Trust is that total reliance and dependence on His character, ability and strength. When you get to this place where you consciously choose to trust Him in spite of your feelings and failures, then, He empowers you to succeed. Even when your life is messed up, your trust in Him empowers you to become a message to your generation and beyond. Don't be blinded by your flaws and faults, focus on Him who uses crooked sticks to make straight lines. Partner with me to reach 30 million souls in 50 nations this year. Bishop Michael O.
