DEVOTION FOR TODAY

When you look around, do you find reasons to be afraid? The economy, insecurity and unrest around us can make anyone afraid. However, fear is not of God and God doesn't want you to be afraid again.
Isaiah 12:2 gives me three reasons why I shall never be afraid again. 1. God is my salvation. God has not only promised to save me, He is my salvation. He exist to save me. Don't be afraid to fall or fail or fumble because God exist to save you. You know Him when you experience what He does. He saves, heals, delivers, blesses and promotes. But you have to be in the situations to experience Him. 2. God is my strength. There will be times when you are weak because of the trials, troubles and tribulations. Sometimes, you will be weakened by the barrage of unkind words and actions of others. All you need to go on is strength from God. In those times, God will become your strength. 3. God is my song. God will give you reasons to compose songs that will energize you in times of your trials and tribulations. Such songs will become your legacy for generations to come. Songs He inspires in you are your gift to your world. Write them down and pass them on. Someone in some far and near lands must hear your song. Today, make a decision never to be afraid again.
