DEVOTION FOR TODAY

There are scriptures that just tells us like it is without you having the chance to spiritualize it. This is important because sometimes we struggle in certain areas of our lives but for Christ sake we put up fronts that make us look like hypocrites. You can imagine that you just finished fighting with your spouse and a very important guest comes in that requires both of you to be nice in order for no bad report.
The fact is that we like to look good before people so they actually think that we are good when internally we feel bad. No wonder we always ask for what people think about us. We want feedback to know if our good impression was worth all the troubles we went through to put up. Some women take up to four hours to put up a good face for a thirty minute show. James 1:21 will diffuse all your struggles. 1. We are all filthy. That's why we take a shower twice daily. You can't take a bath once a week and smell good. You do it daily. If you do this to your outward body, don't you think you should do it to your inward being? If you spend three hours on your outward body, your inward body would require more time because that is where the real filth comes from all of us. 2. We are all naughty. No exception. Catch yourself sometimes when you have been naughty just in case you are so smart that no one has caught you. The only reason why some people can sit as judge over you is simply because it is your case that is in session. It is not because the judge is better than you. When his or her case is called, the scene will change. So be happy that your case will soon be over so you can watch the next session. The cure for all our filth and naughtiness is God's word. That frees me because it is not the opinion of your spouse or society. What else can fix a God designed product except God's word? How does His word clean us? When we deliberately receive it and engraft it to our lives. That is like taking the word for a part where we feel or see the filth of sin, sickness, suffering and struggle. We plant the word in that part by speaking it to ourselves until it becomes our reality. We disagree with the filth and agree with God's word. If you keep speaking it until you know that you know it is real, it will save you. Keep at it no matter who mocks you. Keep at it until the word becomes flesh.
