DEVOTION FOR TODAY

Roots
decide fruits. You can destroy fruits. As long as the root exist, it
will produce more fruits. Col. 2:7 shows us the significance of our
roots and how to care for them. Most times, most people focus on the
fruits and never even notice the roots. They forget that it is the roots
that creates the fruits and the roots does so on a periodic basis as
long as they exist. The roots decides the size
and stature of the fruits. Roots decide the names, numbers and
nutrients of the fruits. If the fruit gets carried away by the attention
and attractions it gets, not too long, it rots and disappears. We are
branches of the tree called Christ. He is the Tree of Life. As branches,
we CAN only produce good fruits as long as we are connected to Christ.
John 15:1-8.
If you don't stay connected, you will be cut off. If you stay connected, you become a channel for the manifestation of the lucious fruits the roots want to display. Three things you can do to stay connected: 1. Have faith in God. Decide to believe God in spite of what you feel, see or know otherwise. Be determined to stick with God in spite of what others think. 2. Make God's word the truth that you build on. Take God's word as your reality even when it is not so. Stand on it until you see it work. Detest all other options no matter who presents it to you or how nice they seem. 3. Be thankful for little drops of mercy, kindness and goodness. Gratitude opens up the rich treasures of any roots with fruits in it. Gratitude is like sunshine to every green plant. Be grateful. Partner with me to reach 30 million souls in 50 nations this year.
