DEVOTION FOR TODAY

There
are things about life we can argue with even about God. However, there
are two things about God we can't argue with and win. Psalm 33:4-5 shows
us those two things we can't argue with and three reasons.
1. His word. God is Word. In linguistics, a word is the smallest element that can be uttered in isolation with content. It stands all by itself. That's why one word can mean different things to different people. That sounds like God. He stands all by Himself and He means different things to different people. The term word refers to a spoken or written word. Spoken words are made up of units of sound called phonemes while written words are of symbols called grapheme. Both sound like God in spoken and written formats. No wonder sometimes you hear God in sounds and you can read God through symbols. We only get confused when we don’t understand the sounds and symbols when He is speaking to us. 2. His works. God's work are results of His word. Any work that is not the product of His word is questionable. Works are results and rewards we see. If is of God, you can connect it to His word. Don’t get upset or distracted by works or wonders that are not the proof or products of His word. Stay on the word to see His works. The results will always show His righteousness, judgement and goodness. Even if you argue or disagree with His word, eventually when you see the results demonstrating His righteousness, judgment and goodness, you will appreciate Him. While we see only what we can see, He sees the end from the beginning. So stop arguing, worrying and afraid. Just trust His word and wait to see the results.
