DEVOTION FOR TODAY

Life is just a series of lessons we learn. You can't live without learning. This is why everyday we learn by reading, studying, meditating, memorizing and exercising what we learn to stay alive and well. The day you stop learning, you stop living.
I have also noticed that loving comes by learning. The more you learn, the more you love. If you don't love someone or something or someplace, start learning about them. Eventually, you will love them. No wonder, you can't love a language until you learn it. You can't love a process until you learn it. You can't love a job until you learn it. Prov. 12:1 shows us how life and love is made easy by learning. Learning happens through the following: 1. Instruction. When we were children, we learn by instruction from our parents and older ones. This is how God creates and controls His creation. He instructs and they obey. As parents, we instruct our children to eat what we want them to eat because we know it's good for them. You are a parent because you have learnt something's from your parents to know what is good or bad. Give instructions not suggestions. 2. Knowledge. After a certain stage of infancy, you start learning by acquiring information for yourself. This is the stage where you want to know for yourself why things work or don't. 3. Reproof. This word is a combination of the words, RE - AGAIN and PROVE. You prove what you learn by exercise and experience. So reproof is not a harsh or bad word. It is learning because you love what you are learning in order to live a better life or produce better results. So the next time you are reproved, take it with a good attitude. Just prove yourself again that you love life by learning. Partner with me to reach 30 million souls in 50 nations this year.Bishop Michael O. Amamieye -www.aggressivefaith.org.
