DEVOTION FOR TODAY

Life generally is a fight. From when you were conceived in your mother's womb, your victory was certain. Each one of us conquered between twenty to five hundred million opponents to clinch the trophy which is our mother's egg. The point is that if at that stage where you were not conscious, you conquered, how much more now that you have several factors working for you?
1 Tim. 6:12 tells us two things you must hold on to in order to guaranty your continuous victory in this life and after now. 1. Your calling. Long before your existence, God called you. What did He call you? He called Abram, Abraham, the father of many nations. He called Isaac, a seed that will bless all nations. He called Jacob, Israel, a prince. He called Jeremiah, a prophet to the nations. He called Simon, Peter. What has God called you to become in your generation and beyond? Answer your real name today. All those names people call you because of your past or situation or condition, change it. Stop them from calling you what God has not named you. 2. Your confession. If what you have been saying about yourself, your marriage or business is not in line with God's word, stop it today. Stop saying you are stupid, broke, weak, sick, poor, etc. Start confessing what God has said about you. Say it until you see it. This is the good fight of faith when you keep saying what God has said about you even in the face of contradictory evidence. You say it until it becomes your reality. Like any good fighter, you don't quit until you win. Winners never quit. Quitters never win. The fight is not good until you win.
