DEVOTION FOR TODAY

Sometimes I wonder where we get certain beliefs and practices that have characterized our worship of God. For instance, when we wake up or come together, we invite the presence of God. My question is: did He leave after the last time you invited Him?
Matt. 18:20 settles this issue once and for all. This is from Jesus Himself so He does not need another witness to confirm His word because He is our final authority. Where two or three gather in His name, He is there. No invitation is required. He is there because the two or three came in His name. As long as they bear His name, He is there. His name and His person are the same. Your leg can't attend a meeting your hand is not in attendance. Where one part is, the rest are there by default. Many years ago, God told me, son, when you don't feel like I AM present, that is when I AM most present. Enjoy His presence in spite of your feelings.
