DEVOTION FOR TODAY

One of the easiest things to do in life is to quit. Man from Gen. 3 too easily succumbed to the persistent temptation of the serpent. Sometimes I wonder, if not that redemption is superior to creation how was it so easy for the first man to give up like that? I know if he was a Nigerian he probably would not have given up that easily. Since all nations were in him, it shows that we all in spite of our color, creed or country of nationality, are susceptible to give up too soon. That's why we fail and fall. That's why at certain seasons of our lives we become so weak and vulnerable.
I think that God designed us this way so we will always require His strength and the support of another human to help us finish well. Gal. 6:9 shows us 1. We can become weary in spite of how hard we try to be strong before people. Don't beat yourself too much when you find out that others have noticed you are weak. We all are in one area or the other. 2. Life is in seasons. No season is permanent. Your NOW season may not be good. Your NEXT season will be better. 3. If you faint now, you will miss your best season just ahead. Choose to press until you reach the end. It is not over until it is over. So, don't quit until you win.
