DEVOTION FOR TODAY

There was a time when one plus one equals two was a mystery to me. I had to cram it to pass exams. As I grew older and wiser, the mystery was removed. I understood it. When we don't understand why certain things are the way we find them, they become mysterious.
Growing in stature and wisdom takes away the mystery. At that point everything comes together. It makes sense why you missed a digit or lost a son or deprived of a right. It was designed to build you up so you can become what God planned. If we approach life, marriage, relationship and money with this understanding, our lives will be different. While you want your input to produce a certain result at a certain time you set, the mystery hand of God may just be at work saving your best dance for your last moments. He may just be saving the best wine for those who can stick with you till the end of the party. Don't get anxious and fretful about who is in a hurry to leave your party before its over. They will miss your best wine because the mystery hand of God is at work in your life. In the final analysis of your life, He will put all the pieces together. Tell yourself: it is all coming together. I may not understand now but it is coming together in Jesus name. Amen.
