DEVOTION FOR TODAY

In life, who is with you matters because of what you are up against. You don't have to be bad to have enemies. Just being a human being has qualified you for several enemies in your life time. For instance, before you succeeded in clinching the trophy or egg in your mother's womb, you had to contend with between five million to five hundred million opponents who wanted the same thing, the egg of your mother. They vowed to destroy you so they could be the only ones to win the trophy. However, the fact that you are reading this devotional today is proof you won. The only reason attributed to your victory is that God wanted you here.
Rom. 8:31 sums it up. If God be for you, who can be against you? Let me put it this way, if God be for you, who can stop you? Just as the over five million opponents could not stop you from arriving here in your unconscious state, the same way, ten thousand opponents at work or school or community can't stop you. If God energized and empowered you to conquer over five million opponents when you were so fragile and frail, do you think He will abandon you to just lose because of ten thousand opponents at work or school or community? No way. He has brought you this far so you can finish with honor and dignity. As you won in your unconscious state so you will win in your conscious state because God is for you. Never forget: God is for you. They may vote you out but God has voted you in. They may have chosen someone else over you but God has chosen you over them. Before you quit, take the next one day or one week or one month just to thank God for being with you.
