DEVOTION FOR TODAY

He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life; but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction. Prov. 13:3. That is the summary of why I have failed many times and succeeded sometimes. My mouth. Your mouth is the mystery behind your miseries in marriage. Every time bad things have happened to you, did you remember exclaiming, I said it? Unknown to you, your mouth created it. Stupidly, you brag about it. Be smart, think about it, if you are so powerful to create bad things with your mind and mouth, don't you think that you can use the same mind and mouth to create good things?
Which is easier to create: good or evil? Good is much easier to create than evil. Always remember that when Adam ate of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, it empowered his mouth to create both just like God. However, you decide what to create, good or evil. The Devil doesn't have the capacity to decide for you. But he can help you make it look real if it is evil just as God can help you make it look real if it is good. You make the decision. Take a look at your life and see the events and happenings you created with your big mouth. Unnecessary crisis and confusion. Unnecessary enemies with people God sent to help you. You could have been a happily married man or woman but your big mouth destroyed a beautiful relationship. You would have gone far in your office but your big mouth has alienated you from the help of those who decide your promotion. You are homeless today because your big mouth threw you out of your accommodation like Adam and Eve used their mouths to eat themselves out of the Garden of Eden. Now that you are realizing the power of your mouth to either keep you safe, sound and secure or destroy your destiny, decide today to keep your mouth so you can keep your life.
