DEVOTION FOR TODAY

Is there any human being with no flaw or fault? Sometimes some of us beat ourselves too hard because of the flaws and faults we find in us. I have had the privilege to see different people in sixty three nations so far. I am yet to see one single flawless or faultless person.
In fact, I have noticed that when a person is too clean or spotless, there is always something slimy or tricky about them which eventually shows up. You can only see someone without flaws and faults when you don't know they exist or from a great distance. The moment you get close, you must see some flaws and faults. Why? All human beings are made from dust. The original word for earth is dry land. Gen. 1:9. That word dry also means debt or dead or dirt. You can now understand why all our entire life time, we fight those four words. If we are not dry, we are dirty or in debt or dead. That is why we are all dirty people. Try not taking a bath for a week, you will see that you are really dirty. It is not just you. All of us without an exception. That includes the pope, your priest, your president and prophet. James 5:16 shows us how to deal with our faults and flaws. 1. Confession. Just as you wash your mouth and body with water daily so you can smell and look good, confession does the same. Take words to change and shape your life. Wash away those faults and flaws with faith filled words. Stop speaking negative words about yourself. Vehemently refuse it when others speak words you don't agree with about your person. Speak good words that will shape your life. 2. Pray. Prayer on a daily basis can reduce your faults and flaws. If you can't pray yourself, look for someone you can trust with your secrets to pray with you. Be very careful who you share your faults with so they don't use it to look bigger and better than you. The only reason why some people are bigger and better than you is because they know how and when to put you down by what they know of you. The power of prayer is unleashed when it is earnest and honest. Pray your faults and flaws away by earnest heartfelt prayers that transforms you. Prayer changes you.
