Most times our relationship with God is shaped by the people we have trusted and have failed us especially when we need them most. It seems to me that it takes us a lifetime of learning to know that no human being can take the place of God in our lives. If as very good as Adam was at that time when he did not have the kinds of challenges we have yet he failed. It is a clear testimony to the fact that no man can be god to another man even though we were created to look like God. God will always be God. He has no deputy or assistant.

When He makes a promise, you can stake your life to it and be rest assured that He will not fail. Today, God is saying to you: I will never fail you. I will never abandon you. He is not like your parents or spouse or friend or politician who promised only to fail at the slightest chance. God can be trusted because He never fails. Resolve today to put your trust in Him in spite of your past experiences. Your past is a lesson in history. Your present is an exercise in progress. Your future is a guaranteed destination.
